We are committed to providing the best possible care for your pets. At Animal Behavioural Consultants we specialise in the diagnosis, management, medication and treatment of behavioural problems in dogs, cats and birds
In this day and age medicine is a rapidly evolving field. This is nowhere more apparent than in mental health. This is true for pets and humans.
The literature reports consistently 50-70% of dogs suffer from some degree of anxiety disorder and slightly less for cats.
Over the last 50 years, dogs have moved from largely free-roaming pets to being contained with fences in back yards. This means we are uncovering dogs with separation anxiety far more frequently. No longer can they go next door if they want a friend!
In an effort to help alleviate some of these issues we have undergone extensive staff training. Jon has undertaken 18 months of study to obtain his Behavioural membership, as well as extensive training for other staff members.
We have also developed new facilities to help patients suffering from anxiety and other behavioural disorders. These include The dog play care, day care centre as well as dedicated behavioural consulting rooms.
At the Hills Veterinary Centre, you can be assured we are constantly alert to new and evolving ways that we can help your pets
